Center for Energy Studies (CES) was established on 21 January, 1999 by the Executive Council of Tribhuvan University after the strong recommendation from the conference held in Kathmandu on "Role of Renewable Energy Technologies for Rural Development" in October 1998. The main objective of the center is to enhance promotion and development of Renewable Energy Technologies through study, research, human resource development at various levels and information dissemination for the sustainable development. As an institution within IOE/TU, capacity building of local manpower is the main focused activities of CES. CES has initiated the activities to start the course on Master of Science/Post-Graduate Diploma in Renewable Energy Engineering.
