Interaction program conducted by Center for Pollution Studies, IOE on Aswin 20, 2058

Effort in disseminating information about Hydrocarbons
An interaction Program organized jointly by the Center for Pollution Studies, Institute of Engineering, CPS, IOE and Nepal Lube Oil Limited was participated by a large number of auto-mechanics and the chiefs of Automobile Workshops in Kathmandu.

Inaugurating the workshop, Dean Prof. Dr. Jibe Raj Pokharel indicated that such interaction between the Academicians and the expert manpower at the workshops would be very vital in understanding the issues involved in vehicular pollution. He said that IOE would be very supportive and will assist similar endeavors in future also.

Director, Center for Pollution Studies, IOE Mr. Rabindra N. Bhattarai, earlier welcomed the participants and said that the very fact that this kind of interaction about the prominent issue such as vehicular pollution in IOE is indicative of the maturity in all of us, concerned with vehicular pollution, in our efforts in understanding the issues involved in vehicular pollution. He said that this awareness is one of the very positive developments happening in the country.

Mr. Amrit Man Nakarmi hoped that such interaction would provide an opportunity for the workshops to seek information regarding various issues involved with auto pollution.

General Secretary of Automobile Professionals Association, Mr. Dipak Khadka thanked CPS, IOE, Nepal Lube oil and the experts involved in the presentation.

Dr. Bhakta Bahadur Ale, and Mr. Jib lal Pokharel presented papers on Lubrication and Hydrocarbon pollution in the technical sessions.

Mr. Khem N. Poudel conducted the program and Mr. Purushottam Raj Kaphle presented the vote of thanks.
